“Being a part of an organization with a strong mission provides me with the support to influence care delivery. Banner Health’s implementation of Care Transformation means best care practices are integrated with our practice protocols. The result is consistent quality care no matter what size the hospital.
As an employed physician at Banner Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon, Nevada, I have the opportunity to pursue my many interests, find outlets for increasing my creativity, and provide excellent patient care to the community. I am able to do things that make a difference and create a lasting impact on my patients and the community.
My life has been one of serial passions. Professionally, I was an optometrist for 11 years in Fallon before becoming a Board Certified OB/GYN. After accomplishing that goal, I went on to obtain a master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) and then became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Personally, I am involved in the Arts Council, High School Athletics, the Partnership for Drug Free Schools, and I dabble in politics. The opportunity to pursue these many passions has increased my effectiveness and creativity as a physician and as a person.
Within my practice at Banner Churchill, I have found balance in my life. I spend the right amount of time at work, with family, on personal interests, and in the community. I also have the time to follow and develop new passions.”
